This tutorial is mainly to learn how to give an image color in black and white

1. Choose an image that you want to work with and make a double click on the Background at the layer tablet and you will get a notice; regarding that the layer must be promoted to full layer,

Just press Ok here and OK once again.

2. After doing the above you will see that the layer has changed and it is now said Raster instead of Background

NOW leftclick on the Raster Layer and choose DUPLICATE, you should by now have to Raster layer. One that says copy of a raster layer.

3. Next go ADJUST - HUE AND SATURATION - COLORIZE, make sure it says 0 at both Hue and Saturation and the image should now go Black and White. Press the Ok button

4. Now choose your eraser tool

As soon as you choose this tool there will be a new tool bar at the above tool field, I made the settings as you might see below - try your way forward and see which settings that is most suitable for your image.

As you see on the above image my eraser tool is pretty big but I have also choosed to have a low hardness on the eraser tool, change the settings on your eraser tool depending on how big area you wish to have colored.

HOWEVER

If you wish to find out how I made the background so blury well just keep on reading and we will pick up from where we left of.

1st choose your freehand selection tool

As soon as you choose this tool there will appear a new toolbar at the above tool field, make sure you make theese settings below.

Now drag the a line around the image, and dont forget to click with the left mouse button for each turn you make when you are draging the freehand tool option since the settings on the freehand tool is set on point to point.

Practise a lite bit with this if you havent worked with it before so you know how it works.

When you feel that your done, then right round the click on your mouse button and you will see that the "ants" (see the above image) will be walking image.

3. Thereafter go SELECTION - INVERT, you will now see there has been a change at the image

4. Now go ADJUST - BLUR - RADIAL BLUR with the following settings;

Ofcourse you can mix even here and see what you like the most but after clicking OK your finally done
